We use high-purity quartz glass because these things take a beating with constant rapid cycling. The filaments are calibrated specifically for your SIPA voltage, and we use standard industrial connectors. They are true drop-in replacements. You pull the old ones out, wire the new ones in, and you’re back in business. No hacking the lamp holders or making “creative” modifications.
A quick tip from the field
These tubes are designed for the high-stress world of PET blowing. We push a lot of heat density into a small space, which is great for production, but it does put a load on your cooling fans. Check your ventilation. If your fans are clogged or under-powered, that heat has nowhere to go, and you risk frying your surrounding wiring. Keep the airflow clear, and your lamps will last much longer. When the power is matched and the air is moving, your preforms come out perfect every single time.
